Know when you’re full.
It’s important to understand the fine line between
pleasantly content and downright gluttonous.
Heed caution
in all that you swallow
for some experiences may be hard to digest,
perspectives difficult to chew on,
A constant upset in the stomach
because you ate too fast.
Be mindful in what you put on your plate.
Is it too much? Too little?
Have you left enough for others
or did you ravenously scrape the bottom of the bowl
as yours for the taking.
We are are to partake in the feast of life
and when we become greedy
never breathing in between bites
savoring the memories
We are the cause of our own demise.
Bigger we grow, slower we move
until all power we hungrily took in vain
kills the spirit inside.
