climb.

Fear’s rugged terrain
kept me at the base of every mountain.
Each opportunity to climb up
decreasing as time ticked on.
With jagged rocks surrounding me,
the moment to ascend
was coming.
No matter how high the ledges would take me
Or how hard the elements conspired against me,
The thought of wondering What If
became scarier than
never having fought for a dream
for the sake of complacency.
