finite specks.

We pale in comparison
to her majesty, The Universe.
The sea could swallow us whole
and the lands could crumble beneath our feet.
The sun,
In all its splendor and radiance,
could singe the hairs on our bodies,
Burning scars into our memory
Reminding us
we are specks
when you think about how many galaxies remain undiscovered.

Mother Earth whispered, “Be kind.”
Humanity took advantage of that hospitality to which Mother Nature replied,
“Don’t take my generosity as stupidity.”
